America

been here for almost two weeks now. guess my american college education wasn't meant to be, haha. surprisingly i don't particularly hold any kind of resentment at factors that might attribute to it. basically the plan now is to enroll into sim-rmit's marketing course this coming july since the entire course is for a period of two years as compared to me studying in arizona for another 4 years.

as i reflect back, i have come to realize that i don't hold the same enthusiasm as i did when i came to the country back in '04. i clearly remember i was very gleeful at the thought of studying in an american high school because the media made it happening and fun. 7 years later, my mentality did move onto a different direction.

i think it has been a good experience coming down to america, seeing more of california and making a virgin trip to a new state. tucson is a lovely place but probably not as happening like phoenix i suppose. my love for the country might not be as deep as before but there's a new feeling of wanting to explore life here because it is definitely different here. the air, the people, the environment, the shopping and so on.

my priority now is to complete those two years and see where life takes me next.

just made a booking for a flight back to singapore on the 11th. i can't wait to get home and see the people who matter to me. it's a familiar environment but i'll probably come back as a different person despite being on the other side of the world for a short period of time.
